Established in 1994, Mobicon Systems is an Australian owned business based at Brendale on the northside of Brisbane. Designing and manufacturing light-weight straddle carriers is what we do best. We have spent many years developing the very best in container handling machinery, providing our clients with a safer, more efficient, and cost-effective straddle carrier.

1992 | Whilst working in the logistics industry, Tom Schults recognised that there must be a better way of loading and unloading containers. |
1994 | Mobicon Systems is established as a company. |
1995 | Tom quits his day job to work solely on the development of the first Mobicon light-weight straddle carrier. |
1997 | The first light-weight straddle carrier 2T model is ready for market. F&H Transport agree to trial the Mobicon and after 2 weeks they are so pleased with it they buy the straddle carrier there and then. |
2000 | The first unit is sold outside Australia, with a 2T unit being delivered into New Zealand. |
2001 | The first Mobicon is sold to the Australian Customs Department. This was followed by 16 more units being delivered to various customs agencies around the world. |
2002-2007 | Mobicon Systems continues to grow internationally with light-weight straddle carriers being commissioned in South Africa, Asia, Europe, and the UK. |
2008 | Mobicon Systems becomes the number one choice for the US Navy after being awarded the contract to supply 20 customised light-weight straddle carriers. |
2012 | Mobicon release the 2HL, the first model capable of stacking containers two high, whilst maintaining the unique Mobicon feature of low axle weights. |
2014 | Awarded the Commercialisation Australia grant, allowing Mobicon to innovate and grow its product offerings. |
2019 | Mobicon Systems designs the 2HS model, designed with speed in mind for companies with higher turn-over. First four units sold to Northport in Malaysia. |
2020 | Onwards – Mobicon light-weight straddle carriers are now used throughout Australia and internationally with systems in South Africa, Asia, Europe, the US, the UK, and New Zealand. |

From design to delivery our team will work with you. We ensure the seamless transition to using the Mobicon light-weight straddle carrier, followed up by high quality after sales support. Mobicon will partner with you, through implementation, training, after sales service, and spare parts support.
