Mobicon visited the CeMAT Logistics Fair in Germany earlier in the year and on that occasion there was much interest in Mobicon’s Mini Straddle Carriers for the European Market and a sale was indeed made into Holland from this very visit!
Distributing throughout Europe had long been a goal for Managing Director Tom Schults and on meeting representatives from Peinemann at CeMAT the discussion was entered into around their acting as Mobicon’s distributor.
After some healthy discussion and some visits back and forth an agreement was entered into in early September.
Peinemann is a very well-known and respected company that sells and rents a vast range of lifting solutions to many clients in the Netherlands. Peinemann has a proud reputation of offering excellent after sales service with very knowledgeable and well trained service technicians, and have built up a loyal client base.
Tom Schults said that Mobicon Systems is extremely happy with Peinemann as their distributor as both companies share the same values of putting the client’s satisfaction first, both in supplying quality products, and the best after sales service.
Both Sam Peinemann and Marcel Toepoel, the Sales Manager from Peinemann, are very impressed with the Mobicon products, and see the unique place a Mobicon Mini Straddle Carrier has in supply chain. “The Mobicons ability to handle containers with minimal stress on the ground surface is unique in the world” Mr. Toepoel said. “Especially in the Netherlands, where the ground is very soft, a low wheel weight is a very valuable feature. Our clients can now unload and load their containers where previously this was not possible because of the high wheel weights of other container handlers. The Mobicon is also the only container handler that can bring containers inside under a 4m door, which will be a good feature for those companies that handle weather sensitive freight”.
