About Us
Mobicon Systems designs and builds a unique range of light-weight straddle-carriers for handling
shipping containers. The machines use a diesel engine driving a hydraulic system powering a
telescopic hoist and wheel drives. We also have a booming refurbishment business where we take second hand machines and give them a new life.
The work environment
We design and make some awesome container handlers that create demand from all over the
world. We even supply the US Navy! High quality and great after sales service propels us
forwards in the container handling industry. We offer a great working environment with opportunities of promotion. Our workshop is bright and light and has an overhead crane to do the heavy lifting. And yes, we do have an expresso coffee machine!
The role
For the right person there is great advancement opportunities (our CEO started life as an
apprentice fitter in our workshop!), and excellent benefits available. There are travel
opportunities both locally and abroad.

Workshop hours are 6:30 – 3:45 Monday to Thursday, and 6:30 – 12:45 every second Friday
(with every other Friday an RDO).
Experience required
You will be involved in all aspects of the build process and will be given duties depending on your unique skill set. From bolting together steel frames, assembling hydraulic components,
fabricating brackets, making hoses, and setting pump pressures/flows; to quality control during a build and test-driving machines. In the future, training operators, and on-site commissioning may be involved in the future. We are looking for someone with the enthusiasm, knowledge, and technical skills to ensure they thrive in a busy workshop.
